This Year's Theme: Eradication of the Non Believers

The Improvement Association has once again deployed their giant mascot in front of City Hall signaling the upcoming "Members Only" meeting and secret election for our cult group. The annual meeting is scheduled for June 16th beginning at 7:00 PM in the Mulit-Purpose Room of City Hall.

Members are reminded to please don masks prior to arriving at City Hall. Upon arrival vehicle license plates will be recorded, those without front plates or with outstanding violation may choose to proxy vote (the preferred method). Please contact Jean Good to cast your vote. Members tattooed UPC bar code must match the record on file before admission will be granted. Women may wear pantsuits in order to avoid lifting their skirts to display the tattooed ID. Fraudulent tattoos will be referred to the IA's sergeant at arms who will coordinate with sheriff forensic investigators to prosecute violators to the fullest extent of the law. The customary body cavity search will be once again conducted by ROTC Post 793. The IA is working with TSA to obtain a body scanner for our shyer members. It's somewhat unfortunate that the IA non-profit status compels us to display the scanned images in a photo album to be placed on the counter of City Hall. Members are welcome to drink the Kool-Aid generously provided this year by our own short timer City Manger Shauna Clark, Oh Yeah!

Non members should avoid the area since we are prone to violence against residents, non members, pets and farm animals. We will be seeking one of the aforementioned for our traditional sacrifice and barbeque scheduled for Music in The Park this summer.

Health Department personnel did not divulge how many bad eggs they found but we recognize the Improvement Association has plenty. No the Easter Bunny was not arrested but we have a list of Improvement Associations members that should have.

They are called the La Habra Heights Improvement Association, and apparently there is something rotten in the state of Denmark.

At a recent meeting, some delusional people attacked a journalist. People are not normally this violent, defensive, and private unless there are some major secrets to uncover.

We are dedicated to making sure that this video goes viral so that they can be exposed. You might find this video shocking, and the level of their delusion is scary. Requiring medication scary. These people are convinced that because they are old rich people with secrets that they can attack people to protect said secrets.

I am sure investigations are coming, but the video speaks for itself. You can hear the insanity coming from the mouths of these people. They really think they have the right to beat someone up and try to destroy a $20,000 camera. The amount of ego in the room is staggering, and the comments are really off the cuff.

This is truly an injustice and I would suggest that anyone who views this video to contact the local law enforcement, as well as the district attorney’s office for that location. We will be providing this information Monday once we contact them.

Only public outrage can find out what kind of dark secrets these people are hiding that they had to get this defensive and violent. “You are not a member.” I remember some people with funny little symbols on their jackets that said the same thing. I don’t know if these people are liberal, republican, or what, and it doesn’t matter. They are criminals, and they are hiding something.

These people actually attack this man, and then claim in the same breath that they didn’t attack him, they attacked the camera. When they are continuing to attack him. They even dare to say he is attacking them.

At least they admitted that they were purposely damaging his camera in the video. These two men should be in jail.

The incident took place at the association’s annual meeting Thursday. It started when association members took umbrage over Edwards filming the meeting with his video camera.

Sheriff’s deputies were called, looked at film from Edwards’ camera footage and also that from Stephen Blagden, who also filmed the incident. They declined to make any arrests, leading to the three citizens’ arrests.

Edwards said he was filming before their annual meeting had started and was attacked.

Pearce, who didn’t return phone calls Tuesday from this newspaper, told deputies that Edwards had turned the camera on him and was within inches of his face.

“He felt as if his personal space had been invaded,” Allen stated. “Pearce admitted he pushed the camera away from himself and toward the ground.”

Pam McVicar, association president, said there was confusion on whether Edwards, not a member of the association, had a right to be there. But now she believes he had a right to be there.
They believed their privacy was being invaded. Bullshit. These people are hiding something. What is it? The clear cut attack isn’t what should be investigated. What these people are SO defensive about should be. They are scared of something coming to light. What are they spending the money on?

La Habra Heights Improvement Association’s Tax Returns Suggest Fraud

Contributions Not Tax Exempt!

La Habra Heights, CA - The tax filing status of La Habra Heights Improvement Association has recently come into question. LHHIA is a local organization that is established to unite residents & promotes development and welfare of the community. The group solicits contributions from residents & local businesses, by claiming it is a charitable 501(c) 3 non-profit, and that contributions are tax deductible. However, the IRS Publication 78, a list of recognized 501(c) 3 charities, does not include the La Habra Heights Improvement Association as a charitable organization. Only contributions to organizations recognized by the IRS are tax deductible.

In addition, the Improvement Association's publicly available 990 Tax Filings for 2006, 2007, & 2008, signed "under penalty of perjury" by Treasurer Jeffrey Heintz, state that the Association is a 501(c)4 non-profit, not a 501(c)3.

According to documents published by the Internal Revenue Service, contributions to 501(c)(4) organizations generally are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Also, the organization may be required to disclose that contributions are not deductible when it solicits contributions

A 501(c)4, however, can be politically active. Examples of 501(c)4 organizations include employee unions, civic leagues and political action committees.

Improvement Association President Pam McVicar said that the 990 Filings were "errors". The office of Joe Mercile, accountant for the Improvement Association, was contacted in an effort to confirm the LLHIA filing status. At press time, calls had not been returned.

At the LHHIA general membership meeting in June 2009, held in at City Hall, concerns were raised over the security of members’ personal financial information. Primarily, in light of the arrest of the Improvement Association Vice President in April of 2009 on 144 charges, including fraud and identity theft. The Board attempted to quell the concerns by touting the professional accountant they used, Joe Mericle, and the fact that the Treasurer, Jeffrey Heintz, was a (former) police officer.

Next antic under investigation; LHHIA commits 1 to 1576 counts of mail fraud.

Key reasons to support the boycott

June 2009
Election noticed for Annual General Meeting. At the meeting, it was announced election already held at undisclosed time and place, by undisclosed people.
Upon questioning, Board revealed that by-laws had been changed, but won't let anyone see them; "only board members can see the bylaws"
Members cannot vote for board.

Refused to share financial report with members present.
Promised to send a copy to a member who requested, but never did.
Misrepresented themselves as a 501(c)3 to solicit tax deductible contributions, when they had been a 501(c)4 since 1966.
Mailed solicitations with such misrepresentation constitute "mail fraud".

Mail-in election held in May 2010. Results not published or announced.

June 2010 annual meeting included an agenda item for "election", without any notice to members that an election would be held.

Latest slogan is "LHHIA receives no city funding. "
However, they have received at least $6,000 annually in Los Angeles County taxpayer dollars.
They also receive special treatment, in obtaining free, or almost free, use of City facilities for their public and private events and meetings.
